In Riedstadt, Germany, Wagenborg Foxdrill piled three conductors on behalf of Rhein Petroleum. A demanding job that required the lower part of two of the three pipes to be bent half a degree into the ground. On top of that, the three steel pipes had to be driven as deep as possible and exactly parallel to each other.

In Graben-Neudorf, Germany, near Karlsruhe, Deutsche ErdWärme is busy with the realization of its first geothermal project. Two wells will be drilled to a depth of around 3 700 metres to extract thermal water that will be used to generate electricity and heat for around 10 000 households.

For many years Wagenborg Foxdrill has been a trustworthy partner of the Italian offshore firm Saipem. Having worked together on a variety of drilling asset related projects in all corners of the world, a solid relationship has been formed between both companies. This partnerships continues after an enquiry from Saipem’s Offshore Drilling team early 2019: the Saipem 12000, a 6th Generation ultradeepwater drill ship, was due for a Special Periodic Survey and required specialised support.
